Part 2: Full listing of the competences

At the core of peer support is the value placed on the use of lived experience of mental health difficulties (including the experience of caring for someone with experience of mental health difficulties) and seeing this as a form of expertise.

Part 1 of The Competence Framework for Mental Health Peer Support / Lived Experience workers (referred to as the Competence Framework for Mental Health Peer Support / Lived Experience workers) is the supporting document, which contains important background information and discussion and is intended to be read before using the competence framework (Part 2).

Part 3 is the curriculum, which is closely aligned to the competence framework.
